They’re dating. They like each other. There was NO reason for ML to rape the MC? It came out of nowhere and was glossed over to a degree that it didn’t need to be there at all. Also, MC is not the kind of guy who would so easily forgive RAPE after a single pouty look from ML. Even ignoring the overuse of rape as a cheap way to have 2 characters bang without needing to build chemistry… this story DID build chemistry and it just doesn’t work narratively after the growth of MC and even ML. It’s bad writing.
