It doesn't feel right Crystal's gender expression and political power wasn't explored from their point of view in detail. I'm not 100% sure they truly know what they wanr or if they are just inexperienced. The story would have benefited from a time skip where they discover more about the world and gets education. Otherwise it would be a cute queer story.
