It’s because a lot of readers here are minors with no comprehension nor sympathy. Reading this and commenting people to kill themselves make them feel superior and cool. That’s why.

Yeah I agree with others. It's a bit immature thinking. MC and readers that say that don't even try to see options outside the scope of mc's circle of acquaintances. And unfortunately lots of people that commit suicide do so because they think there's no way outside when in reality they don't even try to reach for help because they already expect no help will come. There's a diff between trying and giving up. When in reality one can't really predict that. Or try other options because dying is seen as a better option. And frankly "killing yourself" is the easier option. In case of MC here, he could have gone to the police. The bruises and sigh of sexual assaults would be sufficient to open a restricted order but, he doesn't do so because 1. He fear losing his friends and doesn't even try to make new friends so his stuck with this mentality and doesn't go to the police. 2. Doing so would reveal he's gay. Unfortunately sensitive to others' judgement minded people would rather kill themselves than being seen as weird etc. It's the same mentality of students that kill themselves when they don't graduate. The idea of killing themselves is more inviting than facing the humiliation of being labelled as a failure. Such mentality is typical of people that are surrounded with others that bombard them with "If you fail, it's over when in reality it's not. the same for MC here. He's surrounded by people that helped him in times of need for years he's conditioned to believe only them can help him. Plus korea is also not lgbt friendly so the pressure of a neg consequences of a coming out is 100% higher than in other places.

in logical perspective, there's no way police or any authorities would care about someone who involved with such powerful people. After all, money is everything. at most, police would maybe pretend to care and ended up getting bribed

If mc ended up doing so, reporting them as he should. There's so many possibilities of what could go more wrong to mc. one of the ml is a psychopath who didn't hesitate even bit to hurt mc. i can imagine he amputate all mc's limb just because he can. He doesn't have empathy; he doesn't think mc any less than insect.


we can see he lack mental strength to prevent anything happening to him. Now its too late, whatever he do; i highly doubt they would be empathetic and treat mc with respect

As reader, its not because i hate him in any way. Khs is a undeniable a bad thing, but he's hanging by a thread and there's no one helping.

Its really really sad to see him breath another day with violent. I also feel emotionally disturbed by his empty eyes as if living only bring him suffering. Wake up, work, get raped, beaten up, sleep 2 hours or not, work again, and life cycle of his hell repeat

I cannot agree since yours is still a closed minded approach of giving up and assuming the worst without even trying. It's all assumption... Plus in a logical and realistic perspective the police cannot ignore if there are concrete proof of abuse. Medical proof and witnesses. Even if they do ignore it if the protagonist is vocal enough to show online such proofs even without showing his face, it would still be a stain on the ml's reputation. MLs is rich true but it was never mentioned currently and in spoilers that he has connection to the police and even if they do bribe them, the informal method of spamming online for example the allegations cannot be entirely muted no matter what (like realistically even in real life powerful people cannot silent rumors. They hardly get caught but the victims always get some people on their side to protect them). The abuse and sexual assault should trigger a restrictive order. In a way realistically speaking it's hard to get the ML and guys go to jail but, the attempts should be enough to create a rumor/stain in their person to keep their distance from MC alone.


Here THERE ARE way outs but they are all cut down because 1) frankly speaking MC is not seriously trying to get away from the abuse. He complains a lot but doesn't want to leave his """"""friends""""""" 2) there's a blind assumption that the police or other people won't believe him. 3) there's an assumption here and from MC that no one in the entire world and town will help him. It's unrealistic to think no one is willing to help you or offer a temporary roof when they see you're hurting.

Like irl abused people end up muting themselves because of such fear and assumptions. There are way outs. It's easier to say he should just die because you don't really care for him since he's fiction etc. But realistically if it was your mom, sister, co-worker, passerby or friends, realistically speaking telling them to just die bc they're against someone with money or is an toxic relationship is frankly speaking a wtf, immature and heartless solution to the problem.

you're right, i cant help but thinking of all negative outcome since mc is alone in his world. the person he like is abuser. i cant help but be afraid thinking of all possibilities.

Because it breaks immersion. If we’re honest, the original art style is levels above what this new artist is capable of — and I’m not saying that to bash them. Considering how long this was on hiatus for, the Dear Benjamin team had to have gone through several artists to get someone they believed was capable but if their art style was a little similar or even better, I don’t think readers would feel this duped.
