No, for real. People treat fictional characters as real people and real people as fictional characters. Maybe post-covid made people so "glued" to media that they can't separate what is real or what is not.

Like, you can have your opinions to dislike this (valid, everyone has their own interpretations), but the hate people get to like this it's insane. People nowadays can control what the consume, we have warnings everywhere.

I was told a while ago they don’t like over seas cause all we do is steal their work even though I bought every single manwha in the series from barns and noble I’ll look back and find it

most people are on an illegal pirating site reading it for free at this moment so I'd understand why the author would hate overseas readers

I understand it's annoying when people steal your work, but in her field it's pretty much impossible for it not to happen. That's why they should be paid a monthly/fixed salary, not one that depends on their sells. Pretty sure they already are though
