These authors tag these plots as psychological but you never actually see anything psychological going on or any real attempt at explaining the characters motivations and mental health or personality disorders that makes them behave in the way that they do. What are the odds that two rapists would rape each other at some point in their lives.

They just go rape, revenge and more rape. It’s like okay but what is the reason? Are they a sociopath, psychopath, sexual sadist, it’s always some loose shallow reason thats just meant to suffice enough rather than a well thought out character development. Then to add insult to injury they romanticise the whole thing.

Okay if you just like to draw men get raped and other forms of abuse do that but framing it as psychological when you can’t be bothered to actually put in real psychological elements into the plot is pathetic. I would respect an author who just said i like to draw men getting violated.

If these authors insist on using rape as the main plot device then at least give it the respect it deserves instead of some BS!! This is why I hold killing stalking to a high standard in terms of how they dealt with an actual psychological BL that involves rape or coercion or even the beast must die and back to school. The authors actually have depth.
