Todd was a wolf in sheep clothing basically, he tricked Dennis, all he wanted was the sheep and Dennis soul. Those empty black eyes were a dead giveaway. Baffling though he could have taken those sheep before Dennis turned up. But this shows you that the devil doesn’t just snatch your soul he tricks you and tempts you first, notice Todd was unsure wether Dennis was a pure soul or not until he started asking him those questions about romance and love? That’s when he realised how pure Dennis actually is he switched and started pretending to love him, his first step at corrupting his soul was getting him to kill that sheep and like Satan with his fork tongue he told him to lie to the owner? Dennis wasn’t going to survive after that. Dennis was obviously physically beautiful but painfully lonely and naive. Easy prey.
