Ash is a dominant alpha. Karlyles brother is also a dominant alpha but he wasn't the one who became an omega. They do not have that ability, it was his partner who somehow turned into an omega. He was something else but ended up manifesting as an omega.Now his partner didn't all of a sudden decide he wanted to be an omega, it just happened which was goof news for them. I doubt Karlyle will turn into an omega since he may not be a dominant alpha but he is an alpha.
