I don't know why some people still think that the best friend is a love interest for the MC and it's a love triangle? When it's clearly not. MC made it so clear that he doesn't have any romantic feelings for his friend. In MC's mind, it's Sunbae 24×7. It is as clear as the day that Sunbae is the ML.
I think it comes from people who like childhood friends turning into lovers. I also love that kinda plot, too, but not here. You can't just magically develop feelings for someone who you knew from childhood. In most cases, it is always a sibling bond. And it's not guaranteed that if you are best friends, then you will automatically make a great couple.
