I wished she lived alone with her child and Kian in a far away land not having to do anything with these people . I don't like duke nor the crown prince either , he could have done something but chose not to do anything.

For a period of time, a year or two, almost by the end of the novel, she does.
In the novel, Fl, kian, and her son Cesar goes to live at the village she used to live when she first escaped, and she becomes a herbalist helping out people who needs it. ML comes around to visit them from time to time and Fl is kind to him and have tea time with him.
Then, with permission from Fl, Cesar (Cesar starts becoming more like his father in things he likes but with the gentleness of fl) he wants to learn and like the sword alot, so FL writes to ML to come and take their son so he can learn swordmanship from him. ML goes and picks his son and so their son goes to live with his father because he wants to learn swordmanship.
A few months (i think) the Fl starts feeling sad by not having Cesar by her side, plus she's getting sicker and sicker because she keeps using Kian powers to heal people (FL has always had a sick body plus she's super kind) so she goes to ML's castle. Ml sees her and becomes worried due to her illness. I think she does dies again in Ml bedroom.
