Look unfortunately even in this day and age people still view LGBT as gross or as a sickness. You and I know that accepting, and even looking these stories is not bad; we take the beautiful romance between two human beings as it is ROMANCE. I know that you are pretty disappointed that someone you like does not see what you see, and that he called you disgusting when you know it isn't. On top of that I am sure that you really liked him, and that he hurt your feelings. I know that it isn't the right time to say this but in a few days maybe you will see it this way: if he reacts that way about LGBT love, then he isn't worth it. Because when you accept something so readily and then a person keeps making ugly faces at it you will eventually change and start being sad, and hate what you like.
That is all I can say, I am sorry if it isn't enough (which it probably isn't) .

You can definitely do better kid!! Just remember if someone really loves you they will put up with all the crap you do and like. For example my brother knows I read these kinds of mangas and he literally doesn't even care. Even though he's straight he's very understanding. I told my friend I liked to read yaoi and at first they were like wtf is yaoi. When they knew what it was at first it was awkward for them but they got used to it because they didn't want me to feel bad about me just being myself. Plus they saw how happy I get when you mention manga around me :-) he probably wasn't me.right!!

Personally, it seems unnecessary to tell people about this. Yaoi is porn and with "normal" porn (like some basic shit on pornhub, you get the picture) you don't see the need for someone to accept you for watching porn. And I'm not saying you that you can't tell the person your in a relationship with that you read this kind of manga, but I don't think it's something that should be a starter topic or in the beginning of a relationship. I also don't necessarily believe he's anti-lgbt (unless he's outright said it or along those lines) he might just not be comfortable with that, which is fine to each there own ya know? Just an opinion though
