Don’t know if anyone here’s read ACOTAR… but almost hoping this is some sort of rhysand and tamlin situation where MC falls in love with one of the hounds, a seeming side character who is the real ML… would be kind of hot. If not hope there is a real good reason for guwon’s actions. I enjoy a red or black flag character but only when they’ve been introduced as that not nice first I hate the switch up

I feel like lister was actually the one who killed the king and he and his sister framed it on the mc. I didn’t suspect it until the last few chapters when the mc was having a breakdown bc Lister was ab to rape him and he threatened to kill him like he killed his uncle and Lister was ab to say something but stopped. Plus the sister seems to have a deeper grudge against her brother like maybe she did like the mc before the incident but preferred him to take the fall over her brother and feels guilty ab it that’s why she is so caring towards the mc. It could also bc why she seemed super adamant about mc NOT regaining his memories bc he would remember he didn’t kill his uncle. Just a theory though.

Now that the mature officials are out I’m gonna finish it. I remember reading this in 2023 and loving it so much I read the novel since we were no where near the end. I dont really remember the details of this manhwa but I do remember that feeling of loving this so I’ll trust my old self.

Finally decided to dig at my to read list instead of searching for a new one and I can’t believe it took me so long to do so. I held off bc I dislike how most manhuas I have read are kind of ~unserious? In the translation style if that makes sense and it feels very light hearted with a lot of chibis and kinda stilted even with official translations. This one was def not like that. It was a drama with great world building, characters that didn’t feel two dimensional, and antagonists that u ended up feeling sorry for. Overall a 10/10 only wish the mortal x immortal side couple could have had a reincarnation for the one that died (also was confused if the teacher died or not). Def worth not studying for me med school finals next week ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Tbh the pacing of the story would have been fine if we saw Maythan’s inner dialogue show hints that he was starting to fall for the Duke. Like they had enough interactions and there were enough flashbacks for there to have been a buildup of feelings developing on Maythan’s behalf (we saw the duke had feelings through his actions). It’s not like the author had to add any additional scenes but the ending would’ve not felt so sudden if some of Maythan’s scenes included his thoughts and feelings towards the Duke.

Guys I finished the main storyline with mc/ml, mc’s bestie/doctor, mc’s real brother/ml’s 2nd in command… is the rest just wowo as the mc? I LOVED wowo as a toddler but ngl he is just not my cup of tea as an mc (I don’t really like the cutesy, airhead type). Do the original adult cast ever get another arc or are they just side characters from 210 on? I would have preferred longer side stories for the other side couples instead of a spin off but I respect the author’s decision ofc (〜￣△￣)〜
