This manga was one of my first experiences with manga in elementary school- I remember years later I saw the manga at my local library and I've been hooked since. Setsuka's style woke something up in me since then.
People in the comments keep saying Morinaga is Raping Senpai. Now, if you've read this manga over and over again, Senpai himself said that If he wasn't ok with the sex, he would've beat Morinaga's ass. He's even given Mori examples. Like when he pinned senpai to the wall to blow him, Senpai his his head when he got off. Now, for fujoshi's sake, stop saying Morinaga is raping senpai.
But he is. He didn't actually consent. "Not resisting" isn't consent.
To be fair this manga began with him raping Senpai, the next quarter of the story after that was a blackmail premise. I would call it a pretty gray area up until the Canada arc. I love Morinaga's character as well as the story but rape is rape.
I think it's better to call it 'fantasy rape' because it has nothing to do with rape in RL, and yeah in RL consent is consent (even if -by chance- there was a 'gray area', it would have recognizable characteristics).
Oh I completely agree with you, if you saw the all the manga I read you'd know I definitely separate yaoi rape from RL rape. I was just commenting on what people mean when they say "Morinaga was raping senpai."

This entire read was like watching a car crash, and the car igniting in flames and then exploding, and watching the firefighters extinguish whatever’s left of it. Definitely don’t read this for the plot, because this is like “passion” except it being a bland slice of life, focused on smut. If you want a good long read with lots of sex scenes, this is for you,, but don’t think for one second you’re gonna get any plot that’s any better than a budget porno.
They should have left this as a oneshot. It was soooo good! Right type of toxic and trauma inducing.
