I spent 10€ to buy all the translated chapters of the novel and I have mixed feelings...
The novel translation is up to 2nd volume which is chaoter 46.
The translations is fucking weird. Like translated by ChatGPT with minimal editing. And I mean I wouldn't be so angry if it as a free translation but I spent money on it... Ugh.
It's full of stiff words like no freaking way a student speaks like this! Examples:
"I fail to comprehend why you choose to rest in such a place. It lacks warmth. But must the lights remain illuminated?"
"I am unperturbed. I am not presently in slumber," he responded.
"But if you don't extinguish the lights..."
"I shall attend to it later," he assured.
"Very well"
Like, who the hell speaks like this?! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Also the TL mixes up "I" and "he" all the time. Like one time it's I have an injured leg, then another sentence I'm bandaging Youngwon's leg and third sentence the injury and the bandage teleports back on Hohyun's leg. Yeah, reading it was a trip I tell ya...
Well okay, to be fair not every chapter was like this with the mixing up of who is doing what but it was at least 2-3 times per chapter I had to question this.
And lastly, I don't know if it's same in the original novel... But there were no steamy scenes... Was it comic original? Or did the translators censor it in the novel? IDK. Anyways, I have no idea when the translation will pick up the novel again. I assume once the comic catches up to that part if will be season end.
It ended with a cliffhanger and the translation is whack, so I don't rec spending money on it... At least not until the whole novel is translated fully.
