Characters kind of suck. Might wait until it’s done to read in one go because the depth isn’t there. The MC is basically a himbo (just there sex appeal and acts so goddamn naive like he isn’t a grown man) and ML is sooooo fucking scheming and annoying. Like this latest chapter he literally tells MC to his face that he needs to suck face with the other “perfect” guide MC is jealous of after constantly denying MC because he’s soooo dangerous to all guides that he refuses to have anyone guide him so MC needs to go away, then MC embarrassed himself by STAYING and making up an excuse to intervene and learns they used to be a pair (dated) during their training days. The ML finds this all so amusing since he looks at the MC as an interesting new sex object while the MC thinks he’s not good enough and runs around looking like a fool when he’s at his JOB. Also, what’s the point of throwing in all the other espers in the group to literally give them no background or screen time, it’s like they read Profundis and were inspired but didn’t have the drive to put pen to paper. Hoping it fleshes out more because it has potential and the art is beautiful but we’re already 30 chapters in…Okay, rant over.
