Like sorry this is not a "realistic portrait" of normal relationships. And if it is, it's quite shitty.
1) Not even ONCE did jiho ask inwoo WHY he doesn't want to fix his relationship with his mother.
2) Not even ONCE did he sat down with inwoo and try to talk to him about her. Even after the first time inwoo strongly rejected the idea of reconciling with his mother.
You'd think a good partner would realise "oh my partner is having this strong reaction. There must be something deeper". Jiho is just caught up in his own fantasy of "fixing" something but you can't fix something when you don't even know anything.
