i feel like this is how the story is going to go: kim dan is going to get told jaekyung’s past by his old director and is going to end up feeling bad for him and try to be understanding and sorta rekindle their relationship after several chapters of this granny is going to die and in need of a support from anyone hes going to depend on jaekyung and then its going to follow in bj alex’s foot steps in a sense like after dong-gyun forgives alex yk

I like your theory. I agree that I think Dan is going to fold in someway instead of Jaekyung earning Dan back, but I actually think he isn’t going to have any sad backstory that explains why he is the way he is. I think he’s just a mean person, even the director who knew him in the past said he’s always been rude. My theory is that the bad story will touch on why he pushes himself so hard and his competitiveness
Yeah also don’t think it’s going to be the world’s most tragic backstory. It might be a little sad, maybe he lost his parents a little young or something but I don’t think it’s going to be like THEY DIED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND THEN I SPENT YEARS IN A TRAVESTY OF AN ORPHANAGE or anything like that. I feel it might lean more towards a scenario where he felt he had to constantly prove himself and be better than everyone for parental attention which eventually led him to be like *hand waves towards all of jaekyoung*

so basically ... Well honestly the last chapters where literally the author showing us that her ex husband was a good guy when he was young, so in love with the mc and always helping her, imo they were useless chapters so you didn't miss much
