Honestly, rereading this for the third time still hits hard. The way the story was portrayed, with having a selfish mc, to one that would sacrifice himself for others, the way his mindset shifts from one of survival, to one of regretful, all the emotions in each of his lives were just raw. Though some lives were skipped or well done quickly, you can tell what he experienced in those mere seconds. From his first live as forgot his name but airplane guy, you could tell he really wanted to live and would do anything to beat Death at her wits. From thinking he finally escapes his punishment, to exploding right after, that was lowkey a hilarious moment. Even in his next lives, when he believes things are finally going well, death just mets him again and shoots him with her gun. It's so funny seeing her nuance response while the mc is having the biggest crashout about failing. In her view, death is literally the embodiment of herself.

LMAO this reminds me of how all of this even started. It started with mc belittling death and saying death is just a tool for something (lowkey forgot what). Anyways, back to the plot, I LOVED THE MIDDLE TO END ARC. Honestly the arc from the pedo, to the prisoner guy, to the killer, to the detective, to the homeless guy, to the mom (yes there were some other lives in between but they weren't as impactful as these ones) their arcs just layered so well. From being a pedo that was scrutinized on the streets, to a strong prisoner that would take revenge on the person that killed him, to the killer that he would later reveal his crimes for, to the detective that emphasize his case about being unsured about who he really is, CHEF KISS. One moment that really stood out to me was his comment about his situation, comparing it to a box of mirrors where people can't see the inside except him. Him acting bolder than usual wasn't because that was his usual attitude, that was his confidence boost from hiding his real skin. You could tell, he knows he really did not have much to live for compared to his colleague who had a wife and a kid (compared to mc og life where he got broken up with).It was a poignant feeling to see him begin to care less about himself, and instead willing to end things if it meant saving someone who still had something to live for. He really was losing himself, in terms of identity. And for his last life as his mother, oh my, the guilt, the immediate run from the info input, you could TELL he wanted to believe this was a sick joke from death. He couldn't even kill himself like he did with his other lives, as he would be harming his precious mother's body. Though it was him on the inside, he could no longer display his confident facade anymore. Tbh I wished it ended there instead of a rewind back in time. I feel like him telling HIS story to the colleague daughter, actually made his life worth noting for. Compared to his life as an unemployed bum, ending it there would have been more fitting. Plus, with him giving justice for victims like the killer's, it felt anticlimactic for all of that to be rewinded.

Overall, I would still give this story a 9/10 and would HIGHLY recommend for you to read this hehe (MB FOR THE YAPPING)
