That was the first ending, Idk why Horikoshi changed that in the ending 2.0
, he kind of, expanded on some stuff and you see Deku insist he is fine as a teacher but at the end he takes the suit and becomes a hero again.
He turned down being a part of Bakugo hero agency, he was still a hero. He never turned down the support suit. Mha fandom really nitpicks a lot of things they don’t like and nitpicks what they want to see as canon. There’s no 2 different endings, it’s one ending. The final ending is chapter 429. Chapter 430 + 431 are the epilogue and included in the final volume and mangago took the one shot that came out after the final volume and put it as “430.5, 430.6 and afterword”. To be clear, the one shot is not a continuation of chapter 430 and it is not included in the final volume of MHA, it’s basically its own standalone thing.
