Everyone is here talking about how Nathaniel is right to be pissed because Chris stole that dumb ass king’s affection but like, where were we told that the king and Nathaniel were in love?? The first chapter literally said that the king married because he needed an heir, so he married an omega (Nathaniel). When Nath didn’t give him the heir, he looked for another and got Chris, who gave him his heir immediately. And for TWO years, that kid was his only son, whether or not he liked who gave birth to it. So like, where does it say that the king and Nathaniel are in love? Cause all I’m getting is that Nath is the first husband and is pissed because a consort got one over him, especially since both were brought into the palace for the same reason. I’m putting this out there, but I don’t think it was the king who got Chris (and the son) killed in the original. Considering the protags of the original are the king’s second kid and someone else, I think it’s safe to say that the parents’ story was just a couple of lines. Anyway, where am I going with this? I think it was Nath who ordered Chris and his son to be assassinated, after all, the one who would be more inconvenienced by their existence would be him, Nathaniel.
