Leaving a child in a safe environment when you're going through several issues is very, very different from abandoning a child with an abuser. Please be fucking serious. All of you talking about children getting to make their own choices- fair enough. Tell me how many friends you keep that defend your bullies or speak in favour of the teachers who constantly hurt you. If someone insults my mum, they're my enemy from that second. There's something to be said about loyalty- though I guess many won't know.
