Is actually so shortened? Like the village arc in the novel is quiet long because we see the need of Hyoseop to have some separating for Andante because of everything that has happened. There are separate perspectives of Andantes' craziness versus Hyoseop's healing with the help of the old man that let's us see just how messed up their perspectives on the relationship they had were.
Honestly, is very disappointing as the adaptation was going quiet well and now Hyoseop just ends up looking as a (very) foolish man instead of someone very harmed from a seemingly unrequited love and his past.
