Honestly I also wasn’t a huge fan of all the random events our girl had to go through just because she was “female lead” but clearly the author has a funny bone.
To make the justification she is the female lead it only makes sense she can renounce being the female lead and give it away.

I love him. I think he’s definitely my favorite character by far. Of course I like Penelope and all but Rynold just has so much personality.
I get that maybe the emperor and prince were brainwashed in ShuShu’s past life but there is a lot of reasoning beyond that to say that they did just give up on her. Even if you say they were brainwashed even before that the emperor didn’t make sure he knew what happened to the child bye went by the words of someone he couldn’t trust rather than making sure for himself. The prince if forgivable since he’s a child and never held any power to do anything anyways but I just can’t like the emperor. That being said I also can’t hate him.
I feel like he should speak to her rather than try forcing her into positions she clearly has no interest in.
Why doesn’t the management bureau actually try to actively do better than solely depend on one hero to save everyone. The concept that one person has to be strong enough and sacrifice for everyone else is so tired.
Tooth had horns like the “duke” in her past memories. I wonder if the “real” dragon died long ago and Tooth took his place.
Though I guess maybe the real duke might also have horns. It’s probably more likely this than that tooth replaced him.
I low key love Gestella. She just somehow brings just enough intensity that made the unbalanced chaos feel balanced
I think it had potential and I don’t think it’s bad or anything but I do think it really lacks in its plot and storytelling.
The story is clearly there but it’s like the author has never heard of a scorned woman before. There’s just no way the FL after all she went through in her previous life could be fools by such obvious schemes.
Not to pull gender into this but it’s reads like a man that’s never met a woman wrote this. Or a man that thinks women are incapable of doing for themselves.
I get that historically for the time it would probably be more accurate to put it that way but given that the story is about preventing her grandfathers death and not ending up back in a situation like she was in, it’s just odd that there are times when she seems like the same naive and timid girl that was abused in her past life.
