I don't mind the toxic. I do like that the MC is not grovelling and actually falling out of love with the ML. Not all stories have to be fluff fests, and not all toxic spiels have to be Stockholm syndrome slop.
Still, I do wish we got a better idea of wtf is going on in the main plot. Like, what is going on with the guide's power? Who the hell was the ominously popping around white haired dude?
