Evaluating the recent chaper with respect to psychological vewipoint , I think jaekyung's "jinx" is not a jinx but "trauma" he suffered due to the death of his father (as he was unable to prove his worth/potential) both things simultaneously since he was young back then the shock made a way to a long-term impact on his "confidence/self esteem" (he won match before his father's death mean he has no jinx) his trauma surface up everytime he gets nervous it is also the cause of his insomnia, maybe after his father's death he somehow picked s*x to suppress anxiety (a coping mechanism to supress his trauma) indulging himself into that stuff because he can't drink as he is a athlete. People overcome traumatic incident if comforted and supported by others but I guess after his father's death jaekyung must have vanished from town and went to Seoul to avoid his father's fate (remember director said jaekyung never contacted to him after he went to Seoul).

What I love about the author is her plot pattern she used the "rubber band" strategy "pull the rubber band hard enough to increase it's impact when released" by all the physical and mental tension she made an impression of jaekyung that accumulated enough hate in S1 and now in S2 it was the time she use the hate to released the rubber band with jaekyung's back story to that really made a strong impact on everyone's viewpoint.
