am i the only one who wanted hidayat (the mercenary) to end up with princess nadia instead of princess catherine?? idk it just makes more sense to me when side chars end up with poc/minority chars who actually played a big role in helping them heal. feels more like a real new beginning yk :(
i hate to defend a MAN but he is right lmfao an empty promise u made as a kid at a summer retreat shouldn't matter so much to u once uve grown up, he is royalty after all- surely miriam would understand his responsibility to uphold his duty to his people, even if it means breaking a childish vow made under the stars with sticky fingers and mosquito bites. like girl be serious.
