It seems like Dan isn’t so much afraid of losing his grandmother. He’s afraid of being alone so he keeps holding on. That’s kinda sad. No reason to go back to that asshole tho. Bc it kinda feels like they’re playing on the fact that he has no friends and no family and he’s afraid to lose the only person in his life but look here comes the dickward that treated him less then a human. But now he feels bad and more entitled so he’s going to treat Dan just a little bit like a human so that he stays. I don’t know if dans backstory was to make us feel bad bc ppl were hating but it only fuels my anger bc he’s gonna get. Back with that dick bc his lonely.
I seriously think Mingwa can’t justify why Kim Dan should get with Jaekyung so She’s using the he’s needs someone so anyone is fine card even tho he’s a ungrateful man child who has anger issues like sometimes writers need to understand that they can’t keep making their protagonist get with their abusers Kim Dan needs someone genuine the fact that Jaekyung and Kim Dan relationship started bc of Lust, money, and responsibility is a red flag itself
right i think he genuinely cares and doesnt want her to go more than he cares about his loneliness but the author heavily emphasizes his foreboding loneliness as an excuse to have jaekyung back in his life because otherwise what other excuse will be there ?
