I’m sorry but I’m here to spread my truth. It’s such a shitty fucking excuse to say that someone isn’t able to read or engage with something if they don’t like it. Even if you hate something, you would want to express your feelings about it, both thematically and morally, as you engage with it. Personally, I don’t like Dark Fall for the continuous use of rape as a driving force for the story but stayed because I was very interested in the Cliff backstory. Some people saying the father deserved it is crazy. Let’s not act like the bitch of a lady wasn’t just as crazy, instead of leaving that father to dumps, she chose to physically abuse the father and trick him into thinking it’s his kid, ruined his dreams. A lot of financial abuse going on and rape from the mother.

Not to mention the mother (I think) set up the camera to make sure the son/ML saw them having sex (more like rape). She also treated the father like an object.

The father attempting to murder, I feel like that is his reaction to being abused and manipulated.

As for the son, he’s a rapist and I have no sympathy. Do I have sympathy for the kid he used to be? Yes. I see a lot saying they feel bad for him because he’s a product of such environment—and so is the father. It’s pretty hypocritical if you ask me…

I also feel that the mother did love the father, but a lot of miscommunication and the relationship started off with her deceiving and baby trapping him.

Author did well with the unbiased writing and the excellent psychological setting and writing.
