I couldn’t care less about Season 1 I jumped straight into Season 2. Saw a bunch of people warning about it in the comments, so I followed their lead. Probably saved my heart and blood pressure, to be honest
Yes, the first season is extremely sad. It depicts a very abusive relationship between the two male leads, but it is absolutely beautiful and well worth all the sadness and disgust. I would recommend reading the whole thing. It will provide more understanding and background to their relationship before the regression. But, I also totally understand it being a hard topic to read for some, in which, that case, I would say to skip it or even not read it at all. As there are complex emotions and issues throughout the whole story.
