This happens a lot in most BLs these days. Sure I still read them but I can still complain about it. The unnecessary addition of rape and then the normalization of it. You understand the story, you understand the characters but the unnecessary rape does not contribute a thing to the story or the characters themselves at all. I mean yeah it does kinda contribute the fact that the other guy is a fucking asshole and a rapist and the other a victim but it doesn't really shape or affect their characters in any way.
It just seems more like it's just a certain topic that recent authors tend to write about because it's either what drags people in or just a genuine fetish to it.
Can we also talk about the ’kid’ Mugo? Assuming that it's a type of DID situation, isn't it weird to do that with a child alter..?
