I love this whole manga. It's one of my childhood core memories.
I still remember when I first found this manga in the nearest library standing in a shelve between all the comics of superman and similar ones. It's cover has drawn me in and I soon began ready it's pages. It was a whole roller coaster and I read it within a day until I was sad that the last manga was missing. The library in my town didn't have it. So I began searching in other libraries near other towns. I actually found it and read it to its end. It was thrilling to read. Crafting own theories while reading was the most thrilling part for me. I wasn't aware that there is an anime adaptation until a year ago. I haven't watched it yet. I feel like I can't betray the manga version I have come to love.
So after I read and read and read it again and again, I completely forgot about it for a few years. Someday in the last year I remembered it spontaneously. I don't know why or how. It just crossed my mind. Then I started searching for it. Such a hassle, I remember. The library in my town didn't have the mangas anymore, I was sad. So I started searching it online. I found out there was an anime, but I wanted the manga. I'm glad I found it here again. I will surely reread again. Never actually forgetting how it's called Haha
Well, as I come back to it, I don't understand the downtalk about the romantic ships. I mean it was clearly hinted there was never any lingering romantic feelings from mc towards the girl he saved from domestic abuse. His goal was to prevent her death, and the death of his mother. As well as catching that murderer on the later run. This story is really good. So fucking good that I still shed tears from his car accident.
Well, it's prettyyyyy long now. I think I'll stop rambling. I just love this manga. I love to have found it again. I hope other come back to this conclusion as well, since it surely is well written. At least for me. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Idk if spoiler but rather a theory from the vibe i get of the story.
I fear rik is going to die. I have no other, plausible, idea how they wouldnt have been friends anymore. Uyuns relationship with his parents fucks him up pretty badly. It's only contributing to the big foreshadowing. Rik dying and Uyun falling in deep depression and torn feelings about his "family".
But idk, tho.
Didn’t we see him in the present tho? or am I tripping
Like before the backstory wasnt he shown?
Was he? I'm so bad at remembering small details
Pretty sure he was seen before tbe whole backstory stuff
I think they won’t be friends anymore because the blondie will not keep his promise with living with rik when they turn into adults, because in the latest chapter we see that blondie still seeks major approval and validation form his father so he will keep on trying to please him.
Rik will feel betrayed (again) which leads him to crashing tf out, because so far everyone from his family left or betrayed him.
That’s my theory at least, I don’t think they will actually kill him off, this manhwa has heavy topics but at the end it’s still very lighthearted and we got sm screen time of rik and blondies friendship fhat it’ll go to waste if he just ends up as “dead”
I think it’ll be like a similar situation that he had with his ex-gf, where they talk and reconcile
