I don't think so, usually the main character always the strongest event if they're not in the beginning of the story but eventually will be the strongest.

Well if the MC not the strongest it will be boring for most people and it won't be popular. But prove me wrong, if you find one with good storyline let me know. In the meantime you can try Mashle: Magic and Muscles. The MC is the strongest but in magic area like how he should be.
Umm how about " Evil Ring ". The main character is powerful yes but as of now his companions are more imo.
