I get the MC’s internal strife about not being Swan/the “real” daughter and now wanting the new fake to taint her memory, but I thought the whole point of Swan’s journal and being adopted would have settled most of that? Like Swan caring for her and giving her position to her with like her blessing so she didn’t need to feel guilt. It also seemed like the duke knew or heavily suspected that she wasn’t the real daughter but would love her regardless (isn’t that why he never confirmed anything when the director said his real daughter had died and he chose to adopt MC?) But since the time skip it’s like she’s still obsessing over it/like it’s tearing her apart mentally. It just seems like things have gotten worse or at least stayed the same when it seemed like things should have gotten lighter?
Also I can’t understand Damian’s obsession with her? Like what is it founded on?
