I think the author meant to make it short and sweet so this is what happened. Tbh, I really like it and I think it’s a great short story. Of course I have read better but this is still good and I don’t consider it bad at all.
I know people don’t feel resolved because there wasn’t as much groveling, their love was fast, we don’t get closure in that side villain coworker, or the grandpa or the “uncle-ex husband” but tbh, it’s also realistic because….why would you be in contact with people like that? A grandpa who admits he doesn’t truly care about his own grandkid and a selfish, abusive uncle who stresses out both parents?
I really love how the MC stood up for himself and established himself as the parent and told the grandpa if he was such a better parent, then why are his sons the way they are, pot meet kettle. I really love that and you don’t see that often.
And then, I really love how the couple communicates with each other and they keep their promises, they don’t get swayed by others even if the other person may be right, both of them said “we promised to believe in each other, we already made a deal with each other so for good or bad, others are irrelevant” and that’s how it should be, because if not then The ML should’ve never pursued MC again, and MC should’ve kept hiding. But because they weren’t willing to back down and don’t want to regret, they stood firm together.
If I were her, I would tell the brother everything so that he stops relying on ex boyfriend and thinking ex boyfriend is a good guy. Plus the ex bf used her own brother against her, and probably will keep doing it. I hate this be the martyr trope…she’s frustrated with it, she hasn’t done anything wrong, but she’s the only one suffering and in pain.
The brother is already finding out about her secret of dating a playboy and being kicked out of the dorms, what’s there left to hide? At least tell the brother everything else so that he can fully be on her side and support her…there’s no way he hasn’t heard the rumors/or isn’t going to hear about it.
As someone who has siblings, IDC, that’s my sibling, no one will hurt, manipulate or abuse them in any way, shape or form in front of me, even if my sibling is in the wrong. But she’s clearly not in the wrong.
For the book to portray this crappy situation of the brother loving the crap ex, but hating the new/good/fake bf, I think is weird…especially when it shows that they obviously love and care for eachother as siblings/have a good relationship.
This is so frustrating for me to read, I hope it gets resolved in a good way.
I hope the author makes them properly communicate about this whole thing once and for all.
I hope it gets addressed that the MC is a hypocrite. He can’t blame the ML for going through it all by himself when the reason they’re “split” now is because the MC chose to do what he did “all by himself”
And also, I’ve BEEN waiting for that sleazy, ex-intern to get his just desserts.
The character of FL is so inconsistent. She’s an adult who read the story and knows everything, who transmigrated into the FL’s body, but she acts like a real child…until all of a sudden, she knows how to manipulate the Duke, and the maid and now she’s making an elaborate plan to expose the teacher???
So she’s a child when convenient but also a transmigrate adult when convenient….
I really hate adults turning into children, as if children aren’t already smart and capable of complex thoughts and emotions on their own.
At least stick to one or the other…so many stories of adults turning into kids and it’s written well where we know the adult in kid’s body is using their adult knowledge to their advantage…but this story just does it so…shabby that it doesn’t make sense or matter that she’s an adult who turned into a kid.
If she was just a poor orphan who had to grow up fast, then this would all tie together better, but no, had to be an adult that turns into a kid…which isn’t even necessary.
I’m disappointed he knew the other two were bullying ML, but it seems ML is only reprimanded. ML shouldn’t have gotten the axe; but the other two should seriously be talked to about bullying, respect and open mindedness. Like, even if something is wrong with ML, the point is, no one will treat you nice if you don’t treat them nice.
So I think; whether ML is normal or not, if they’re mean to him first, what he does in retaliation is just a consequence. All the parenting tips are good, but the number 1 rule for anyone and everyone regardless of age and role/status in life is “treat others how you want to be treated”.
I really don’t like like ML was the only one lectured…it’s like, yeah, you don’t want him to become a villain, but you’re actually not helping him either. Number 1 reason why people become villains is because others were mean to them or they didn’t get justice. So if people are mean to him = he become a villain, so stop people being mean all around, and be fair in judgement and justice. Maybe you won’t have a villain…
But I guess it’s for plot, otherwise how else would we get a black belly, yandere, young shizunf**ker story….
