I think he’s showing a trauma response. I have C-PSTD and I exhibit very similar behaviors as him. He definitely has PTSD. Because of trauma in connection with my parents, I became indifferent to just about everything. I was screamed at for showing negative emotions, and I was shown no attention when showing positive emotions. I held in so many emotions until it was too much to handle and I had a meltdown.
