I came into this story with high hopes, thinking it was just like ORV and LOTM but with a female protagonist just to be let down severely. This manwha has such a cool premise... but as a novel reader, I want to warn everyone about what you're getting into.

The biggest issue with this story is that it has such interesting characters and setting, yet it refuses to expand on any of it. Unlike ORV, where the characters develop and subvert your expectations, the characters here STAY surface level because the author just... legit never does anything with them. Oh but you can have a few crumbs of mediocre world building sometimes. And the plot repeats itself over and over again. It gets reaaally boring the later you get into the story.

The romance? Don't even get me started on it. What kind of romance has the fml barely interacting with either male leads during the conclusion of the story. Like... those final chapters should be dedicated to them solely.

I'm not saying this story is super bad or whatever, but it's definitely no ORV.

    [SPOILER ALERT]

It's a bit unfair to compare it to ORV or LOTM but I agree. I finished the entire novel just this morning, and I must say, towards the end things were hella rushed. The whole meta concept became a bit cheesy for me. Hell, even in the middle, things were starting to become pretty mediocre. That betrayal arc? They could've made the characters doubt Nahyun a bit more. All the characters started to feel bland because of their blind trust in Nahyun. Not to mention the long awaited reveal of Nahyun's true personality to Yuhan. It almost felt like the author was trying to give the impression that Yuhan knew all along. Which was definitely not the case, that's why it felt odd.

Nahyun herself became pretty bland for me. You're telling me one overpowered skill just ended it all and that's it? I was super disappointed. I didn't even realise that the so called final battle had ended.

As for romance, let's just say the author wanted to show us their real conclusion in the side stories. Even then, for being the main ML, Yuhan's conclusion was, well, too light hearted. In comparison, I liked Siwoo's conclusion more because it was more serious (tho I might be biased since I've always rooted for him lol).

this is the honest review we needed. i love the story so far but also feel a strong need for more closeness between the characters in the future and some meaningful interactions. the scammer kinda pmo with his attitude more often than not, I've met some insufferable people like that online, gotta love the representation. you said the mc will start to feel bland? that would be the worst honestly cause i love this polarising blend of her real personality and her made up persona so far it's perfect and i can only hope she will stay an interesting and ambitious character in the future at least in the webtoon

I'm glad that the studio is giving the author all the time he needs to recover his health. The manhwa industry is incredibly hard on its authors. Even if we get less chapters, at least the author's wellbeing is being prioritized! It gives time for the artists to rest too

Am I crazy or did the artstyle slightly change? I feel like Han's face is becoming less defined each chapter, and hes slowly turning into a SJW lookalike It's not a complaint but I miss his expressions during battles, it felt more engaging. Also in the earlier chapters, you could tell they were slashing / attacking the goblins (& vice versa), but it was a little hard to tell what was going on during the dragon battle.

I'm happy that the ending wasn't tragic but I just wish there was more? Obviously I'm not expecting Yato and Hiyori to get together, but after all they've been through, their reunion and conclusion was SO... disappointing. It feels so lame to wrap it all up like that.
