How are you all thinking that they WONT have a happy ending. Although differentiating in exact severity and cruelty, the ML from this book and Seungho from Painter of the Night have a lot in common, and the plot will likely be familiar between the two as well. In other words, they will both get a redemption arc and the couples end up together.
They will prolly have a happy ending, but the MC and ML will carry the pain and guilt with them still, unless something unexpected will happen and I really hope they don't live with pain guilt when they do end up together
