the comments on b@t0 are crazy. hills recation was completely justified and reasonable. he is doing what he feels will keep everyone he loves (his brother, son, and love) safe. also the unwavering, gutwrenching guilt he feels due to his bloodline - he feels at fault for the murder of crispin's family, he fears he will make the people hate the already unsteady regime just barely created, because of his bloodline. give this poor dude a break man
i think readers are forgetting the beginning of this story. war, power, and nobility is not pretty. we see that first hand, and hill wants to avoid him being caught back in the cage of nobility while keeping those he loves safe.
