but the author really like this plain dump type of protagonists
I hesitated to read it because it piss me of
didn't liked the main couple this time either, continued to see if they have some growth, but as expected from the author ended up caring just cuz didn't want they to suffer anymore
the author always throws this plain type of character who makes us angry about their stupidity and then make them suffer until we can't even be angry with them anymore and hope the torture end
it could be a good strategic IF she didn't used it in ALL her stories with ALL end couple
at this point it is just laziness or she lacks confidence to write a well done and profound charismatic character, she puts some personality in side characters but she never develop them, just show some sad past (involving a rape, a lover and a child) that won't justify or even explain their current behavior and done "he is a sad character this is why he is this way" how profound, in the end she just want to justify the current behavior so it fits the scenes she wants (father in love with the child losing control) and not even that she does wright
she isn't afraid of talking about sensitive points, what could be a great quality if she didn't do it superficially, giving half excuses for abusers (the pretty ones, that have charisma and the audience likes but won't be end game) she is just playing safe getting boost with dark topics (or just raping and incest fetish if I want to tell the truth) the father is not biological (yes she did it in her other story to) the rape just happened cuz handsome character was take to the limit, and its okay cuz he is suffering, and a upper class borthel the one the character who did "good" came from didn't allow drugs, the mistress were (saved) orphans and prepared to whats come and of course there is no podophile they wait until they are at a "more acceptable" age, she does this with everything that is not a caricature of bad, everything is "not so bad" so they are not totally bad people is always the circumstances, I wonder if author know that real trash people could still be kind at some point, no one is a 100% a asshole all the time all their life, trying to conceal a character flaws just make them lose deap and look like you are making excuses to them
