I think the uke should just die in peace, where the seme can't reach and leave the seme to be miserable, don't even let him see in his dying days.
I read a similar story where the seme was sh*t and uke never forgive him and refused to see even the semes face and didn't let him see his dying self. It was heartbreaking but satisfying to see seme suffer.
