Was Gichan wrong for hiding his casual relationship with Shinyoung? Yes, but he’s a well-written character with realistic flaws. At that time, he was still “courting” Hyobin. But given that they were already intimate, their relationship felt fragile, especially since they started as BFF. Avoiding Shinyoung is good for Hyobin’s mental health for now, but I wish Gichan had at least explained why—he owed Shinyoung that much, considering he was there for Gichan when he needed a listening ear.

Overall, this story feels raw and realistic. It doesn’t rush into a perfect love story but explores confusion, personal growth, and the risks of redefining a 10yrs friendship. Nowadays, most BL reads got no good story flow and their rhythm is meh at most. But this BL, it's a great example of how mangas/manhwas were properly written back then. The creators were not just trying to sell their art, they also invest in their writing skills! You can even continue without the visuals, that's how good the writing on this story is.
