I don't normally like the Omegaverse because it tends to take the agency out of the characters and simplify them into horndogs. Some stories even say that the ones they're fated to can still abuse them and even hate them. But Kuroi Yodaka is one of my favorite authors for a reason! I've read this manga so many times now.
I want to highlight one (of many) things I absolutely love... The Omega Takes A Husband seems to imply that there's more to being "fated mates" than just looking at them and immediately know they're "the one". This story blurs the line between "fated mates" and the character's personal wants and needs. When Yoshiharu thought to himself that he'll kill his fated mate if it isn't Makoto, it seems to imply that they have some choice in the making of their own fates. So, you'll never know if Yoshi/Mako became fated because they love each other so much, or because of fate itself that caused this growth of love over the course of their lives. The reason for it is a mystery and I personally find that way more interesting. It doesn't have to have a define answer. That's not the point. The point is to give the agency back to the characters and giving them a choice.
Plus, I love that Yoshiharu is a tough omega and actually have some power in his own story (something I wished most Omegaverse authors do). The whole cast is wonderful, colorful, and funny as well. While a bit dark, something about seeing some folks beating up others to a pulp while talking as if it's just any good ol' casual day is entertaining as hell to read.
Thank you Aniwhatev for picking up the translation! Much appreciated! ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
