I like the fact it didn't do a full dive on the capsule thing. It actually makes it a bit more unique and shit that what he does in the Murim, has a bit of effect on the hunter irl world.

Regardless, it does feel like it's having its cake and eating it too. Dungeons hunters modern day world with magic, was/is a trending type of story, due to various factors, but included is certainly the success of Solo Leveling(not comparing it here, just stating)

Murim, is a widespread, but more niche story type, which has common and easily foresee-able tropes, The mc most times wins through some bullshit awakening halfway through the battle, but then, oh no, their next fight is against someone who is either a- Just there to show off again how much stronger they were than 3 chapters ago when they last had a training montage and got 'stronger' or b- is exactly on the same level as what they just got to. Ad nauseam.

With the merging of these, it allows each part to breathe a little, we dont get flooded with grinding out dungeons and murder hobo hunters and side characters getting left in the dust after being reduced to a singular stigma. But we also dont really get the training-fight-awakening-training loop for longer than it should go on, we dont get continuously stupider op martial arts that are 'the best' only for them to be forgotten or absolutely shattered by whatever comes next, we dont get Isolation training timeskips just to give an excuse for the mc to grow stronger, and then have them meet someone conveniently either just beyond where they are or equal to them in strength.

It's good, and it kinda keeps you on your toes, whilst still being a little basic in execution.

Mc kinda feels like he's being melded into a combination of the murim dude and himself, like yeah, he had some sass b4, but he was seemingly(to me) depressed and kinda eh, meanwhile murim guy b4 him was a right sassy dickwad, who despite what he'd been doing more recently, looked like a once normal(for murim) kid, he just drowned himself in pleasures, maybe to evade something mentally, or because of pressure. This comes across to me especially when he interacts with his 2nd brother in murim, that's the attitude of a younger brother in full swing, istg, but... the only sibling he seems to have is his younger sister, so he shouldnt fit so damned easily into that kind of role, it feels like there 'should' be some friction.

The only thing bad with this, is...

I want to see more of the children he saved, there was a clear significance in the fact he saw himself in the young boy, so when I next continue reading this, I hope we get to see a bit more of them, and for the love of god if this becomes a harem(even if it's only in one of the worlds, or sum) I'm going to pull my hair out, I dont have a problem with ROMANCE, in fact I LIKE it, but... please dont let this have fallen to the one trope that I dislike from both of its genre's
