1st-Yea, she loses her melanin lol, for one chapter before the art gets swapped back, however...
2nd-IT SHOULD HAVE STAYED LIGHTENED, ... listen I liked the dark skin too, but the whole point of the change in treatment from her family and others happened because she lost some of the markings of the Dark Spirit King, she claps back at that, it's a story device, she gets treated better cause she now has light skin, too bad she doesn't want that ya two faced bitch... It's not some racism thing or prejudice like it would if it was just "Oh~ she broke a curse and now she just doesn't have dark skin, and she is happy about that" it's not so black or white.
Do I think it should have happened in the first place, no... but it did happen, and then due to backlash, wham nope back to being dark skinned fully fucking up any future plot points about people suddenly being nice to her because she no longer looks so 'Dark'... the whole reversal on their decision was dumb which I MUST point out, afaik, doesn't happen in the LN, she stays light skinned, (again, dont think it should have happened, but I REALLY dont like it when decisions are retconned)
