You really can't have it all so Natalia's family were made to be super powerful but also super broke
This was a really fun read. The plot is fine, interesting enough that I read it in just 2 days. I just hoped there were side stories about Seungjeong telling his parents about Gayoon and their reaction, and Gayoon meeting the whole family—both brothers and parents (tho I believe Seungjeong had more siblings than just his older brother but they weren't really shown, like their father). It was fun seeing the gangsters kind of attached to their perverted shaman as well, but those fuckers were betting about him getting evicted towards the end of the story Also, I hope there were more fluffy scenes were they were lovey dovey with eachother (not sex) and not just bickering like—every two seconds And also, I'm not satisfied with how they handled that friend situation. He should've cut ties with that dickhead right after he blew all of Seungjeong's money without him knowing. And he did it TWICE! Gayoon should've pushed to add that in the contract and I would totally agree. The little shit was not a tiny bit sorry for all of his actions either and was totally expecting Seungjeong to just sweep everything under the carpet all the time. That fucker. Anyway, I guess I got a little attached to the characters seeing how I'm getting sad by reaching the end of the story. This was really entertaining, would recommend
I usually finish the manhwa first if its already completed to make a commentary about it but I'm 5 chapters away from the end and I just can't take it anymore HIS FRIEND IS A FUCKING DOUCHEBAG SHITASS PEABRAIN and if he thought he's cute acting like that WELL HE'S NOT. He should've been ditched right after that casino thing, that fucktard.
All this time we have only seen Yeomin be a tuff cookie with a lot of grit all while being a 100% cutie. I wonder if season 2 will let us see Yeomin crack and folding under the weight of all his burdens and wanting a way out by ALL means.
Would've given this a higher rating if it weren't for the rushed ending. A lot of things had been left abandoned and undiscovered when it could've been explored more to add in the world-building or at least explain things better. Like what really is the system, why was it there, what's its true purpose? Who that npc-like man who stole Jerry's brooch really was and why he ate it? What happened to Karyan and his likeability gauge? (honestly felt like all the other targets were discarded right after they are no longer essential parts of the story but most especially Karyan—he wasn't even removed from the target list yet ) What's up with Ilya's insurmountable magic prowess and mana? Why was Jerry overflowing with mana and why is it, as described by Sears, "alive"? If it weren't for the readers who read the novel and explained it here I wouldn't even know what in the world just happened and would've gone mad at another great story ruined by it's half-assed ending. Anyway, this was a really fun story, great plotline that will keep you interested throughout. I really read it in a day, that's how engaging it was. Reading this was a total breeze (just like the ending, unfortunately). Still recommend it though.
So, yup. I just reread Love is an Illusion to get a fresh take on this one aaand– I'm totally with Hyesung on this. Yes, she was a victim and yes, she was young and can't do much. But Hyesung suffered for more than a decade, which I believe was enough time for his mother to have grown and be capable of at least helping Hyesung on his financial problems IF SHE REALLY WANTED TO. And at their confrontation scene, she had the audacity to push the blame to Hyesung saying he could've looked for her all this time but he didn't so she figured she won't look for him as well because maybe that's what he wants—liiiike??? You left him with that shitass sorry excuse of a man so you could have guessed what kind of life he might be living now since he don't have that much opportunity and support in the first place! He tried to sell you, don't you think he could've done the same to your son??? And you couldn't be bothered to check? Fuck that sloppy wet sock rotten smelly fart father and for the mother, just get out and we're okay.
Had me cackling more than a few times I swear this is a comedy mine. I'm already reading this in webtoon but I still come running when it updates here just to read the chapter again and bust a few more snorts cause the comedic timing never gets old
BWAT I KNOW THIS IS AN !LL3G@L SITE BUT I HOPE YOU WIN THIS LEGAL BATTLE
Just remembered this story while reading another BL and it's been so long after the translated end of season 1 that I already forgot the title and had to search through my reading list and THIS IS HOW I FIND OUT EVERYTHING???!!!
The internal monologues these past few chapters are sooo
Him listening to the heartbeat of his past partner's heart in a different body :( please don't let this be a glimpse of us type trope I cannooot ༎‿༎
HOLY SHAT CLIFFHANGER AFTER CLIFFHANGER AFTER CLIFFHANGER AFTER CLIFFHANGER!!! I'm on the edge of my seat here come ooooon
Tharju, that brother might taste like a wet sock growing mushrooms but he should be able to satiate a hungry tiger. Please enjoy your meal, Sir
Yup I've been bracing myself for this since I read the spoiler that he's gonna SA the mc. He better die a slow and painful death and miraculously come alive again if he's planning to make it up to Radan after all that shit cus otherwise there won't be no redeeming after that big ass black flag
I stumbled on this story and read it since I was bored. I was kinda expecting some half-assed nonsense like the others but here I am shedding tears every other chapter, what an unexpected masterpiece right here
"Does he hate me that much?" well boo-fucking-hoo boooy he doesn't hate you ENOUGH. HE SHOULD BE WRITHING IN REPULSION BY NOW HE MUST BE A SAINT
Is he preggy now? Snakey has been a little too gentle and doting than normal after mating
This is so sad and unfair. Not my poor fluffy baby Enid
