okay so I'm trying to find this BL that I read a year ago I think and it was a Chinese BL, which was sci-fi and kind of futuristic.
so, it is set in a facility where there are levels based on what superpower you have the MC is on the lowest level and even though the MC is like really really smart he doesn't have like a good superpower, and basically the ML is like on the highest level because his like power is really strong.
I don't think it was like directly called superpowers in that but it was like some like special quirk that you have.
one of the scenes I remember is when the higher level people came down to the lower level where the MC was they all like kind of bowed to the higher level people who came but the MC didn't, and then the ML and MC like had eye contact LOL. now I'm gonna describe the characters so both of them are black haired and ML kind of has like a tan skin tone and both of them have black eyes too.
another scene that I remember which is from the earlier part of the bl is when the there was a type of screening test that the lower level people have to do to go on to the next level and it involved trying to get a key out of somewhere and opening a door.
basically the key was in this like um sentient venomous Venus flytrap looking plant and the MC figured out that the trees in area were poisonous to that plant so he covered himself in the juice from that tree and went inside the plant to get the key and basically this was kind of a scene about his intellect and stuff.
a very distinctive thing about the manga is that it was the ML has like these two entities in his head which basically give him his superpowers I'm pretty sure he had like a traumatic childhood or something, but basically the one entity is kind of blue electric themed and the other one is like cloudy red themed.
the blue electric entity wants to take over the the body of the ML i think? and it's kind of a bad guy and the red one is where the ML gets all his powers from.
I don't really much about it just bits and pieces, and I don't remember like the main plot,but I do remember that like there was one of the scientists working in that like area or like the lab assistant was very good to the MC they were very kind and always like gave him cookies or chocolate or something.
in the higher levels of this, the areas that the people get to live in are much like more like lavish than the lower levels and the ML has like a huge studio apartment where the MC stays and he basically kind of like gets special treatment even though he has like a lower level in the thing.
the mc is also trying to escape this area and alot of the plot is about that. he memorizes the guard schedules, etc.
one of the end chapters was about the MC saving the ML from the blue entity in his head and he was entering his mind through a machine and with that he entered his mind and like fought off the blue entity
it was kind of like a the matrix type of setting too.
