I don't know much about that story since I only researched some info of it for a school assignment but I know that the main character is a prostitute and she died in the arms of her lover a noble man.
In this case it's like the author is pertaining sasya as the prostitute but I'm not quite sure.
But with this mental breakdowns happening to him I feel like it wouldn't be a wonder for him to die.
At this point even if they die I just hope somewhere in the afterlife they live happily ever after.
