I did NOT read Love is an Illusion so I'm just smiling and nodding cluelessly. I dropped it since for me it was not good at ALL. The characters were so annoying. This one is alright so I think I'll keep reading!
Just in case you need the lore to realize how fucked up this actually is (mostly from Dojin's side). Hyesung's mom abandoned him with his abusive dad so she could hook up with a new man and didn't take him with her because she didn't want her new family to know she already had a kid. The direct consequences for that were
1. Hyesung having to move out early so he could get away from his dad
2. Because he moved out he also had to drop out of high school and in this world there's already discrimination against omegas so I'm sure you can understand how much harder it would be to get a job as an uneducated omega
3. Almost getting tricked/forced into sex work multiple times
And this isn't even all of it this is just some of the worst stuff that really affected his life. In the main story when she comes to see Hyesung after she saw his face on tv they have a conversation about why she did what she did and she basically ends up blaming Hyesung for not seeking her out (he literally thought she might be dead) because the ABUSIVE dad said he didn't want to so she never, in over decade even tried to make contact with him. After this Hyesung kicks her out and says he's going no contact.
Dojin was witness to this whole scene and even comforted Hyesung afterward. Yet he's gonna go behind Hyesung's back and talk to her and pay for her crap. Yes, Hyesung did end up abandoning Byul for the first few months of his life (he has his reasons but that's not the point) however, that's where the similarities end he made an effort and he went back and has spent everyday loving Byul and trying to make up for it even with his new baby he still feels pain and regret when he remembers what he did. Anyway, this got kind of long and you didn't even ask for it but here anyway.
Damn, everyone hates the child so much and we only got a few panels with him in it. I guess it's like another mentioned, it might be a maturity thing. Vincent was literally so much worse (though I admit he was in a completely different position.) I'll give it some time to determine if the child is tolerable.
I definitely recommend reading this! It's really good.
The second timeline is very nice to soak in, especially after the first timeline. However, I believe that the emotions conveyed in the second timeline wouldn't feel as strong if it weren't for the first timeline. The story is great and I hear there'll be a third timeline, I'm excited to say the least. This is such an emotional roller coaster.
It was kinda boring. Don't you think they fell in love a little too fast? I mean I know it's a quick paced manga and I've read a few that are quick paced, but she literally fell in love so damn fast. When she first said that she might be in love with him I was like "Really?! No kidding." And for being isolated and only open to his childhood friend, the ML also fell in love too fast. I know we're not aiming for realism and who doesn't like a good fluffy shoujo but this didn't hit the spot of satisfaction. I don't know. I love fluff but this was kinda cringe, the facial expressions and the blush that never seems to leave the MC's face.

That's the most unconvincing "We like each other" I've ever seen in a manhwa. That nonchalant expression tells me volumes on what his voice might have sounded like.
Re read again he did have feelings at first for gogyeom but the moment he saw gogyeom still screwed with many women his feelings become numb towards him.
