I am convinced that we all choose what kind of simulation game to play as humans, like how we play The Sims, so I'm not actually that empathetic anymore, even though a part of me feels bad for people (bc ofc we all forgot this is not 'real'!), at the same time I know they chose it, like people choosing to watch horror movies or to read tragedies
