I love how as soon as he realized he likes Kim Dan, he immediately did a self reflection of what he did to Dan before (the abuse, being a jerk, etc). It makes me think that he's not like those typical MLs who would do even more bullsh't after realizing they're in love (example: acting like a tsundere or getting brattier or being an as'hole more).
I get it, the plot's telling us he's obsessed with winning and being on the top that he decided to be an arrogant mf with a bad attitude and behavior because he does not want to get stepped on anymore, blah blah blah. But it icks me though that all he needed was to fall in love or to have something or someone to care for in order to have good character development. Like- he didn't get that before meeting Dan? A hobby other than boxing? Friends? Like best friends? At that age????
But at the same time, I understand why because of his trauma and past experiences.
Anyway, I'm just glad he knew what he did to Dan was unacceptable. 'Cause to some stories, the toxic tops would still think they did nothing wrong.
