He was probably so obsessed to their happiness because he was a child born out of wedlock.... an illegitimate child, because probably his mom was loved more than the main wife but his mom couldn't get married to his father. He was probably bitter
And so maybe thats why he wanted to try continue this. By breaking away a perfect little home or relationship and taking away the wife and making it his ???? That was he'd either have happiness or nobody will be as happy as his fam?
